Conecta is the part of the app for meeting people on Isla Holbox: group activities, friends, dating (optional) and community conversations. You must accept these guidelines to create your profile. If you break them we may hide your content, warn you, suspend or remove your Conecta profile.
The parts in square brackets must be completed with the operating company's details before publishing. This document must be reviewed by a lawyer licensed in Mexico before use.
1. Who can use Conecta
- Conecta is for people who are, or will be, on the island. Use your real name or a name people know you by, and photos of yourself.
- Dating is for adults 18 and over only. To turn it on you must confirm you are an adult and give your birth date. Lying about your age gets your profile removed immediately.
- If you are under 18 you only see public activities, always with a notice that the host is an adult. You cannot use Friends, Dating, private chats or the Community section.
2. Respect
- No harassment, threats, insults or discrimination based on origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability or any other condition.
- No means no. If someone does not answer, declines your hello or blocks you, do not insist through other channels.
- Do not post sexual content, nudity or violence. Do not send intimate photos nobody asked for.
3. Safety
- We never show your exact location or your hotel. Your profile only says whether you are "on the island"; activities show the meeting place.
- Do not share your hotel, room number or live location with people you just met. Meet in public places.
- Messages with links carry a warning. Be wary of links, advance payments or requests for money.
- The first message to someone new is limited to 300 characters and you can start at most 20 new conversations per day.
4. Not allowed
- Scams, selling drugs or weapons, prostitution or sexual services, gambling.
- Spam, unauthorized advertising (local businesses post with the "Local business" badge from the partner portal), chain messages.
- Impersonating another person or business, or creating fake profiles.
- Posting other people's personal data.
5. Report and block
- You can report and block any profile, post, comment, activity or message. The reasons are: harassment, spam, scam, inappropriate content, underage and other.
- What you report is hidden for you right away. If three different people report the same content, it is hidden for everyone while our team reviews it.
- Reports for "underage" or "scam" are reviewed first.
6. Moderation
Our team reviews reports and may dismiss the report, remove the content, warn, temporarily suspend or remove the Conecta profile. Every decision is logged. If you think we got it wrong, write to [SUPPORT EMAIL].
7. Your data
Your profile, posts, comments and messages are handled under the privacy notice. You can download your data or ask for it to be deleted from Account → My data. If you delete your account we erase your profile, posts and messages; in other people's conversations your messages show as "deleted user".
8. Changes
We may update these guidelines. If we do, we will ask you to accept them again before you keep using Conecta.
